Stem Studio is a game engine that runs in the browser! games can now be made in the web or even on a tablet from your couch. With many features you would expect to see in similar tools in Unreal and Unity. The Dot Earth team came to me and asked if I were to make a game engine from scratch, how I would go about creating it. I have been working on this task for two years. I was successfully able to design the simplest game engine out there.
How, you might ask? I started by creating something called behaviors, which are pre-built logic that can easily be attached to any 3d object. shareable Prefabs across projects. I also took dozens of complex design systems and simplified them in a way that even someone who is new to game development or doesnt now anything about code could build their own game in a fraction of the time that a team could do in Unreal and Unity. I also made a sleek, minimalistic UI that is cleaner and cooler than any other game engine. Simply put, the engine rocks! This engine is in Alpha and will most likely be open-sourced in 2026.
